Skye and myself have been members of Dundee Alsation & Training Club since she was a puppy we joined back in Jan ’07, where just attended the road safety classes on a Thur evening. Then around about Easter last year we where invited to join a beginners agility class. So we went along where she got on great.
A few weeks later I was offered a job in Wales Training Personal Protection Dogs, so that put an end to agility training. Although I did have access to working trials equipments, so I trained her to clear a 12ft scale jump, 3ft clear jump and a 8ft scale.
When I returned to Scotland we rejoined Dundee Alsation & Training Club and started agility again on 25th Jan ’09. She was put back in the puppy class for the trainers to assess her and she was soon moved into the next class, with dogs that had been doing agility since at least Autunm the year before. She fitted in perfect and continue to make fast progess and learned to weave in 6 weave just in time for our first show this week.
I would just like to say a big thanks to everyone at Dundee Alsation and Training Club. Very friendly helpful bunch, they are all a bit mad but you have to be in this game.
